Based on others' notes on 800Notes, this is a solar scam.  First one I've had from this number, and the person on the other end asked my voicemail for Mr. or Mrs., then said hello a couple of times as if expecting an answer.  I figure if they don't identify themselves and don't have the brains they are talking to a machine, can't be legitimate. 

I'm thinking that as a electric (power) provider they should and probably do, fall under the states PUC  - although they are trying to sell something which also falls under the telemarketing laws.  

They are somewhat of a joke here in my state. With our weather they are useless most of the time, and some folks who have them, they wear out before they pay for themselves.

Actually, I'm not sure they qualify as a power provider.  They are trying to sell an alternative power source but don't actually supply power.  We are supposed to sign up for panel installation and that is supposed to reduce our cost of commercially supplied (electric, utility) company products.  Being solo, I don't use enough electricity to make it worthwhile to have panels installed and even had an evaluation that told me it would not make sense to switch, from a solar panel company.  I was really surprised that they didn't push it and also very thankful for the honesty.  What I would really like to accomplish is to get these other people off my back, but they keep changing numbers, so it's difficult to report them.
