Re: Phonetray issues
Hey Herman, I posted this in another post but I'm sure that's not the place to put it.
I've installed 1.39 from your post two times now and it will not launch. Has anyone run into this before?
I'm running Windows7
all files below were successfully loaded
ringtones - folder
zap messages - folder
license.txt
phonetray.chm
phonetray.exe
phonetray.exe.manifest
readme.txt
uninstall.exe
vistaadmin.dll

No, I just loaded it onto an old machine that had no phonetray whatsoever and it installed just fine in about 30 seconds.

PT still will not open
Hey all, Well, after uninstalling and installing PhoneTray 1.39 three times it still will not launch/open. I'm running Windows 7 on a Dell XPS, MagicJack plugged in the USB and the house phone. PhoneTray installs successfully and I see no issues with the installation. I double click on the icon on my desktop and it blinks and thats it. Am I doing something wrong? Any ideas ?
Update: well the desktop icon will not open PhoneTray but the icon in the system tray will. because I'm using a laptop i only have one phone jack, so i put a splitter in and from the laptop I run one cord to the house phone and the other cord to magicjack. However PhoneTray does not show the incoming calls. I use my cell phone to call home and it shows up in the magicjack interface but nothing in the phonetray. I also run fix CID in phonetray and rebooted but it didn't work. Any clue on what is wrong?
Thanks
Jack

Re: Phonetray issues
The problem may not be Phone Tray ... it may be Magic Jack or your USB port.

Re: Phonetray issues
Up to now, PhoneTrayFree has worked very well for me; HOWEVER, I have recently been receiving incoming calls from "NOT_AVAILABLE" with CID phone number showing as either "NOT AVAILABLE" or as "Out of Area"...
In either case, PTF does not let me block because there is no number. Whoever this is, they are very persistent, calling 4+ times a day.
Please suggest how PTF can block this type of call.
Thanks!

Re: Phonetray issues
I registered in January, and received the eMail acknowledging my registration. HOWEVER, it was never activated, and I still cannot login.
I registered again today, with a different eMail address (because the original registration attempt must be triggering the message "that email address is in use")...
If someone would kindly activate either of my registrations, I will gladly post there.
Thanks!

BTW, if this forum is no longer used, why not shut it down, or at least put a notice on the login page to the other site.
Perhaps the good posts in this forum could be ported over, so they will not be lost.
